Engity's Unique Selling Propositions (USPs)

Engity compared to its competitors

Why is Engity the Right Identity Provider for Me?

Engity is a rapidly growing Identity Provider that offers all the standard services and access factors of a modern access technology provider. Nevertheless, we already stand out thanks to the modern, lean, and cloud-native architecture of our IT infrastructure, which was built from scratch based on the market and technology experience of established, mostly US-based competitors. Our modern platform technology not only allows us to scale virtually at will, but also enables us to offer many unique technological and service features.

Below you will find a selection of our unique selling propositions:

    Customizable Fields

When setting up a user database, only basic information such as email address, hashed password, and sometimes full name is typically supported. Often, however, it is important to store additional information such as bank details, date of birth, roles, and assigned licenses for an extended user profile in order to fully meet the requirements of the applications. This can be achieved with additional customized fields such as text, boolean numbers, integers, and floating-point numbers. Engity can help you with this!

    Maps & Arrays

Multi-Dimensional Fields such as Maps or Arrays/Sets are supported. All data types can also be made searchable. This increases the flexibility of the application, as no additional storage for this data needs to be connected to the system, and makes it a powerful additional innovation for new use cases.

    Non-interactive Users

Normally, users are considered to be human beings. But the digitalization of our everyday lives is leading to increasing automation and giving rise to a new category of users, namely “Non-interactive Users.” These “Non-interactive Users” can be, for example, service users (accounts) that enable backend services.

    Shopify Integration

Using Shopify as your own white-label e-commerce platform allows companies to integrate a complete e-commerce solution into their own workflows without major development effort. However, this comes at the price of user data usually also being stored within the Shopify solution. If e-commerce is only part of the offering, or if a company wants to store user data within its own IdP for data protection reasons, an intelligent exchange mechanism is required. Engity offers such an adapter solution, which enables its IdP to communicate seamlessly with the Shopify platform.

    Custom Development

Standard software does not always work straight out of the box in all applications, or you may have new areas of application that have not yet been considered. Let’s talk about how we can tailor our solution to your needs. Engity will be happy to advise you on possible customizations to meet your individual requirements.

    Implementation Support & Transparent Migration

Setting up or migrating a user database is not something that most people do on a daily basis. As a result, the necessary operational knowledge is often lacking. But that shouldn’t cause any problems! Engity supports you from system analysis and migration to the operational deployment of your access solution. If a multi-stage introduction in flexible steps (transparent migration) makes sense, we will of course help you with that too. What matters to us is your long-term satisfaction.

With Engity, You are Always on the Safe Side When It Comes to Data Protection

With the increasing use of sensitive and personal data in the digital sphere, protecting this data is becoming increasingly important. The EU feels responsible for implementing this protection and has therefore created the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As a European company, Engity considers the implementation of these data protection regulations a matter of course. It goes without saying that we not only have our headquarters in Europe, but also operate our servers exclusively in Europe.

Have we Been Able to Convince You With Our Unique Selling Propositions?

Do you need more than just a standard access solution? Are you looking for a sparring partner for implementation or would you like support for a step-by-step migration from another solution? Existing standards don’t help you and you need customer-specific adaptations? You want to ensure that the data protection and compliance of your solution is guaranteed in the long term?

If you answered yes to one or more of the above questions, we should talk in person. Get in touch with us and we will discuss the best solution for you together. We look forward to hearing from you!
